Return Policy
At Chongo DC, we are committed to delivering high-quality solar and DC power solutions that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, our Returns & Refunds Policy is designed to ensure a smooth, fair, and transparent process.
Eligibility for Returns
Products are eligible for return if they are unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as received. For standard products, a return request must be made within fourteen (14) calendar days of delivery. We also accept returns for items that are defective, damaged, or not functioning as described. Certain products, however, are non-returnable. These include customized or special-order items such as large-scale battery containers and cold room systems unless they are defective. Products damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or unauthorized modifications, as well as items without proof of purchase, are also ineligible for return.
Return Process
To initiate a return, customers must contact our support team by email or phone with their order number, proof of purchase, and reason for the return. Once the request is reviewed, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be issued along with specific return instructions. Products should be securely packaged to prevent damage during transit. Unless the return is due to a Chongo DC error or product defect, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
Inspection & Refunds
When the returned product is received, our quality control team will inspect it within five (5) business days. If the return is approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method within seven (7) to ten (10) business days. Refund amounts will exclude original shipping costs unless the return is the result of our error. Customers may request an exchange instead of a refund for defective or damaged products, but exchanges are subject to product availability and may require additional delivery time.
International Returns
For international returns from the Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and return freight costs unless the return is due to an error on our part. All international returns must comply with local import and export regulations. Shipping timelines may be longer for international exchanges or replacements due to customs processing.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery. This notification should include clear photographs and a description of the issue. Upon verification, we will arrange for a replacement, repair, or full refund at no additional cost to you.
